We have been utterly thrilled with the work and experience we've had with Wood Brothers Landscaping. In recent years, our heavily wooded property had been increasingly getting beyond our control as far as overgrown trees, bushes, hedges, leaves and general landscaping and trimming clean up needs. John and his team were superb. From the very beginning, communication was prompt, reliable and clear. That's RARE nowadays with contractors. At all times, they more than lived up to the agreements. They went WAY above board, far beyond "doing the minimum". The hard working team treated our property as if it was their own and were professional and respectful at all times. Never once did we have to pick up litter or cigarette butts. Never once did we hear music, loud voices or unexpected disturbances during the several days of work. Simply put, their team was meticulous and nearly invisible, never disturbing our work from home or the neighbors in any way, shape or form. Afterwards, for several days we were continously shocked to discover the great attention to detail and extraordinary lengths they went to in doing a fantastic, STRONGLY detail oriented job. Make no mistake, this is hard work in difficult conditions, and at all times their team was professional, positive and 100% cleaned up after themselves every single day. As a result, we have experienced a complete renewal of our property thanks to them. We have recaptured beautiful space that was lost for years, solitude that had long been invaded by overgrown trees and hedges, and a newfound sense of joy of our property that we'd forgotten. I can't emphasize enough how happy we are with our decision to hire them and entrust them with the care and maintenance of our property. As a result, WE again own our property instead of IT owning us! Now, we can pick and choose the projects we want to work on nstead of being forced to keep up with the work that had to be done whether we wanted to or not. I wish every contractor experience was this positive and satisfactory. These guys are conscientious, professional and will listen to what YOU want for a change and offer their expertise and suggestions to the extent that you want it. They make it all about you - isn't that reason enough to hire them? Do yourself a huge favor and just do it. You won't be disappointed. We are still blown away by the experience and the ridiculous value of their work and services!
We contacted Wood Brothers after seeing great recommendations in our neighborhood group. We needed solutions for heavy rainwater runoff, a deer fence, and a patio area for our family. John and his team responded right away and proposed a dry creek bed at a very reasonable price. It has been tested by multiple heavy storms and works flawlessly. It impressed our neighbors so much that some even installed their own! John’s crew also skillfully built our deer fence, patio, and garden area with smart drainage in mind every step of the way. Our family has been enjoying this new space multiple times a day all summer long. Outstanding service and top-notch work—we highly recommend Wood Brothers Landscaping!
Great locally owned business! John and his team put in our new lawn this fall after several years of having a mud pit with zero grass. Our lot is heavily shaded and John was able to provide a solution that allowed grass to come in even with little direct sunlight. We are now just 5 weeks in from initially seeding and it’s looking great! Definitely give these guys a call. They are from Chapel Hill originally and I’m sure will continue to grow in this area and be around for a long time. Before and after photos attached.
John and his team did an outstanding job on creating an extension of our driveway border. They made the effort to perfectly match the existing border and replace river stones that were washed out with a recent tropical storm. The team was very professional, showing up exactly when they promised. They left the property clean. This is the second time that I have used Wood Brothers Landscaping but it won't be the last. John was excellent to work with. He came out and gave us a fair estimate and was able to start the next day. We had our driveway graded & resurfaced.
