On Sunday 4/19/26 morning about 8:30am my husband noticed we had a 50 ft tree that was damaged by a fungus and it was cracking. The wind was whipping around at 30mph and we could see the tree swaying and hear it creaking. It was threatening to fall on our screened-in porch and possibly my kitchen. He went next door to have our neighbor to help him to secure the tree with a strong strap. I didn't know who to call so I called our normal landscaping guy Juan Torres and he got to work networking with his friends. He finally found someone. Simon Guzman with Guzman Tree Service. I texted him and he got back to me in short order. He already had an emergency call in Durham to check out first and promised we would be next to come look at. He got to our home about 4pm and along the way kept in constant contact about when it would arrive. He was prompt. professional and very knowledgeable. He secured another strap we had to be sure the tree would be safe. We then felt safe! He came back 2 days later, as promised, got to work at 8am and had the job done in no time! We had landscaping and stone walkway that we asked not to be damaged. He and his crew worked efficiently and now that the job is done, you would never know they were even there! He is now our "go-to" tree guy and I will recommend him to everyone I know. I also need to add that we had one other person come out to bid and he was VERY unprofessional. That guy asked us "How much do you want pay?" I thought, what??? In any case, his price was WAY more than Simon. I am a retired insurance agent of 25 years and I never had someone to recommend. Now I do!

I cannot say enough great things about Guzman Tree Service. We had massive oak trees leaning towards the house and lots of planted specimen bushes under them that I didn't want damaged. Also, a fence only 5 feet away from the base of one of the oaks. They brought in a crane and not one Azalea, Japanese Maple, or post on the fence was damaged! We also had lots of branches trimmed and other trees taken out that were too close to the house. The entire crew was focused and professional and payed attention to every detail including cleaning up. Their estimate was very good. We will definitely use them again in the future and I am remembering them to all my friends.

Simon and his workers were awesome !! Every step of the process was exceptional. The whole team worked great together. We had 9 trees that they cut in sections and removed with a crane. It was fun and scary seeing a huge tree top being carried OVER our house and power lines BUT the crew did it very smoothly and professionally. We stood in the yard and watched for hours. Never once did the process seem risky or unsafe. Our biggest HUGE tree was about 75 years old. The cutter guy was up in the tree sawing and tying off big sections for 1.5 hours. It was a massive oak above our garage and less than a foot from the wall. It was an amazing job. Price was very reasonable, Simon would do whatever you wanted with the wood- leave it or carry it off and they mulched everything else. Would DEFINITELY hire them again. This crew knows what they are doing.

We had an emergency when a large tree fell on our house around 8pm after a sudden storm. Within the hour, Simon was at our door assessing the damage and providing an estimate. His quick response and calm, professional approach made a stressful situation much more manageable. What stood out the most was how carefully the team handled the removal—every step was taken to ensure the tree didn’t cause further damage to our home. They brought all the necessary equipment, including a massive crane (a highlight for my little boys who were thrilled watching it in action!). The crew worked efficiently and left the area spotless. In fact, when our roofing contractor came by, he couldn’t believe a tree had even fallen—there was no trace left behind. I would recommend Guzman Tree Service 100%. They’re fast, professional, and truly care about doing the job right.

Simón and the whole Guzman team were so professional and did an excellent job removing two HUGE trees on our property. They ground the stumps and made wood chips out of the limbs, which we'll be using in our garden. We were able to schedule with them quickly and their prices were very reasonable. Cleanup afterwards was an unexpected bonus! 10/10 recommend!
