Purchased an echo 590 chain saw from here. I was told the saw was new. But come to find out this saw was used. After 1 day the saw stopped starting. I reached out woods farm & supply about returning the saw for a replacement or refunding my money back. I had receipt in hand but also it was less than 5 days since I purchased the saw. ( They told me they do not do replacements or returns or refunds, but I could bring the saw back and if it’s something not to serious they would look at it.) I brought the saw back and the tech worked on the saw for 45 mins, I literally watched him. He replaced multiple spark plugs, then he started working on the carburetor. ( His exact words were “ I’ve never had to do this kind of work to a “New Chain Saw”.)My response was I’ve purchased multiple chain saws in the past that were Brand New and I’ve never had that done to them either. After the tech got the saw to run I took it back to my job site where I started to use it and then I noticed the Chain Saw was cutting at a 45 degree angle. Only then after 2 cuts I realized The Bar is bent. I was never told this saw was used and someone brought it back. I was told this Saw was New ! I was never given the opportunity to decide whether I wanted a used saw for less money (Discount because it was used or a “New Chain Saw” for Full Price in which.they charged me for!. But they charged me $600.00 like the saw was New! I feel as though I was deliberately deceived and Woods Farm and Garden Also I feel as though Woods Farm & Garden did not try to correct the issue at all! This is False Pretense to the 1st degree! My opinion is that they are nice people. But moving forward I will not buy anything more from.there, but also I will advise everyone I know to do the same thing ! Bad business practices.
