We worked with Cat on an hourly basis a few years ago for ideas for our yard. After a recent addition to our home, we needed more help on a plan for our front yard and worked with Cat on a full landscape design plan. She is extremely knowledgeable, has a great eye for design and was so helpful in visualizing how to make the addition fit in with the house through the landscape design. She also turned around the final design very quickly! We felt the work was completely worth what we paid and look forward to fully implementing her design!

It has been a pleasure working with Cat Valand. She is very enthusiastic about her work and was diligent trying to understand our needs and desires. After a meticulous survey of the property, Cat created an accurate planning map. It was exciting to review the final plan with her! My husband and I were looking for a landscape designer and were fortunate to find Cat Valand. She was easy to correspond with, came to our home in Clayton and walked our property with us asking us questions as well as listening to our ideas. Once our discussion was over she continued to stay on the property taking notes and picures. When our design was complete she once again came to our home and went over her plan and ideas for our yard. We were amazed at what a beautiful and thorough job Cat did for us. She discussed plant varieties and where she would place each type as well as lighting to enhance the final product at night. She left us with a detailed design and a notebook containing pictures of all the plants she reccommends. Cat is personable, professional, knowledgable, and knows landscape design! Cat worked with my wife and I to develop an amazing plan for the flipped mid century home we moved in to about 2 years ago. Her plans incorporated our wishes with new and existing plantings as well as a deck redesign and patio refresh. Cat gave us plans that worked with existing aspects of our unusual lot and offered quality referrals to potential companies for us to implement her plans. We were thoroughly impressed with Cat's ability to envision and design our landscape with a plan we loved, but would never have come up with on our own.
